About

Slow roots, fast growth.

I’m Carlo — a senior product engineer from the Philippines who has spent seven-plus years learning that good software grows from real soil, with patient tending, pruned honestly.

My roots are in full-stack product work — childcare systems, government dashboards, Flutter apps at a consultancy, a three-engineer team I led at Infina. Then in 2021 I moved into Web3: founding engineer at Atlantis World, where DeFi protocols became pixel-art NPCs and a community NFT sale I ran live moved 327.14 WETH — roughly $1M at the time — on-chain. From there, founding fullstack engineer at Limitless Exchange, then AltLayer, where I built Rumour and Autonome from zero and inherited an MCP server platform that I grew into the protocol layer of an LLM product.

The AI-native part isn’t a trend I’m chasing — it’s how I work daily. Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor sit in my toolbox next to Playwright and Foundry. I design agent harnesses, review their output like a lead reviews a team, and hold everything to the same bar: evidence before “done.”

Currently seeking a senior IC seat on a team that ships — and running an independent product studio in the meantime.

Growth rings

Seven seasons of shipping.

Read bottom-up if you like — that’s how it grew. Each ring added something the next one needed.

  1. Sep 2024 – May 2026

AltLayerSenior Software Engineer / Product Engineer

Founding frontend engineer of Rumour and Autonome (both built from zero), plus full-stack delivery across Wizard / Rollup-as-a-Service, AVS-as-a-Service, AltLLM, AltClaw, 8004scan, and the internal MCP server platform. Operated as a high-ownership product engineer responsible for implementation, refactoring, testing, debugging, UI delivery, and cross-functional execution.

  2. Dec 2023 – Sep 2024

    Limitless LabsSenior Blockchain Engineer

Founding engineer (fullstack) on Limitless Exchange — a prediction-market platform on Base shipping across four codebases: API, smart contracts, indexer, and frontend. Limitless Labs raised a ~$3M pre-seed led by 1confirmation in September 2024.

  3. Dec 2021 – Dec 2023

Atlantis World / Limitless LabsLead Blockchain Engineer

Founding engineer on the early-stage Web3 metaverse; promoted from blockchain engineer to lead blockchain engineer. Led the community NFT raise that moved ≈$1M ETH (327.14 WETH on-chain). The company later evolved into Limitless Labs.

  4. Apr 2021 – Feb 2022

    FilledStacksSoftware Engineer

Software engineer at FilledStacks — a Flutter consultancy and open-source maintainer — building client applications end-to-end with Flutter, Firebase, and Codemagic CI/CD, while contributing to the company's widely adopted open-source Flutter packages.

  5. Aug 2020 – Jan 2022

    Infina, Ltd.Lead Software Engineer

Led a 3-engineer remote team at Infina — a business solutions provider helping government agencies empower their workforce — building a mobile data analytics application with Angular Ionic, deployed on AWS EC2 behind Nginx across multiple environments.

  6. 2019 – 2021

Freelance / Client ProjectsFull-Stack Software Engineer

Built web applications, progressive web applications, dashboards, and custom software for clients and small businesses — including childcare management systems, floor plan visual CRM tools, and a startup tracking application for a government technology incubator.

  7. Earlier career

FlignoSoftware Engineering Intern / QA Automation Intern

First hands-on engineering role — QA automation alongside developers in a software development team environment.

Skills

Skills, as a constellation.

Every solid line below is an integration that actually shipped, labelled with what it did. The dashed lines are just the hub holding the map together.

The shipped connections: TypeScript → Viem · Wagmi (typed contract calls) · Solidity → Playwright + Synpress (wallet-signing E2E) · MCP servers → TypeScript (176 protocol tools) · React → NestJS (one codebase, both sides).

How I work

Tending, not just planting.

Evidence before “done.”

Nothing ships on a feeling. Unit tests, Playwright E2E, Synpress wallet flows, manual QA — a feature is finished when the proof exists, not when the code compiles.

Own the whole stem.

From vague requirement to production and beyond: break the problem down, design the system, implement, test, debug, ship, then keep tending it. Inherited codebases count double — ownership beats greenfield.

Prune honestly.

Small, focused modules; domain-driven boundaries; refactors done when they're needed, not when they're glamorous. A codebase should read like a well-kept bed, not an overgrown lot.

Tend daily with AI.

Agent harnesses, multi-agent orchestration, and provider-aware workflows are my daily practice — and their output is reviewed like a lead reviews a team, held to the same evidence bar as my own.

Kind words

What the grove says.

From engineers, designers, and leads I’ve shared a season with — quoted as written.

What stands out most is his ability to translate ambiguous product requirements into reliable, maintainable software. He works comfortably across product, design, and engineering, moves quickly when prototyping, and strengthens delivery through thoughtful architecture, comprehensive testing, and hands-on production support. His range across full-stack engineering, blockchain systems, and agentic AI makes him a versatile and dependable contributor in fast-moving product environments.
